General 06:06 - 22/01/2021
On 14 January 2021,thyssenkrupp made an official announcement that its Cement Technologies businesswould stay with the group.
thyssenrkupp is confident in a promising prospect and willcontinue to develop its cement business. The request for sustainability and nature conservation is growing up for cement – a nonrenewable resource-intensive industry. As a sequence, there are more and more demands for equipment that uses less energy and operates at higher efficiency level. With more than 160 years of expertise and experience, thyssenkrupp Cement Technologies, with its brands polysius® and Maerz®, is one of the few full-range suppliers that could offer extensive portfolio of products and services and sustainable solutions.

The group also announced that the strategy fordevelopment of its cement business would focus on the three growth areas: green technology (usually known as #grey2green), digitalization solutions and upgrade and modernizing services. #grey2green is a cluster of ultramodern solutions that can help cement manufacturers protect resources and the environment by using less fossil fuels and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The attractiveness of these solutions is that they could guarantee plant owners maximum productivity and economy of operation. It was proved by the fact of implementation of projects in Germany, China, Cameroon, Thailand, Uruguay, Mexico, etc.
