Producing non-fired building materials - The most importance is the product consumption market
In recent years, the real estate market always had unpredictable changes causing many difficulties and challenges for construction businesses, especially businesses producing non-fired building materials (NFBM). Green, sustainable and environmentally friendly development is an inevitable trend for the construction industry. Accordingly, the use of NFBMs to gradually replace fired clay bricks is the optimal solution when limiting the use of clay and coal, two non-renewable resources, contributing to environmental protection, energy saving and greenhouse gas emissions reduction. The production technology of NFBMs also makes use of wastes from industries such as ash, slag, stone dust ... to make useful products, thereby contributing to a large reduction of industrial solid wastes.
Officials and experts of the Promotion of None-fired Brick Production and Utilization in Viet Nam Project Management Unit visiting the NFBM production line at Toan Cau Building Materials JSC
Mr. Tran Thanh Minh - General Director of Toan Cau Building Materials JSC - one of the leading corporations producing NFBMs, said that in developing countries, green products in construction are particularly interested. The building materials industry in these countries developed before us half a century. Therefore, since 2010, Toan Cau has invested a plant producing NFBs with a capacity of 50 million bricks/year in Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Chuong My District, Ha Noi City. In addition to modern technology, this plant possesses the advantage of being located very close to the basalt mine and near the center of Ha Noi, the most "hot" market in Viet Nam. After years of research, Toan Cau has launched a product line suitable to the construction conditions and climate of Viet Nam, helping bring about economic and environmental value for construction projects in Ha Noi capital city and Northern provinces ... However, NFBs are new products, requiring time to research and develop the market, therefore, to boost production and consumption of this type of product, besides the incentive mechanisms and policies of the Government, the propagation and promotion of this product need to be strategic to change the traditional use of red bricks.
Officials and experts of the Promotion of None-fired Brick Production and Utilization in Viet Nam Project Management Unit working with Lam Viet NFBMs Co., Ltd. (Phu Tho)
In the same view, Mr. Dao Anh Duc - Director of Lam Viet NFBMs Co., Ltd. (Phu Tho) said that there are still many traditional brick kilns in operation, even being expanded. Therefore, the production and consumption of NFBs in particular, NFBMs in general still face many difficulties. Mr. Dao Anh Duc affirmed that in order for businesses to produce and trade NFBMs, the Government and ministries/sectors need to strengthen the review and control of the implementation of Decision No. 567/QD-TTg, Directive No. 10/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on increasing the use of NFBMs and restricting the production and use of fired clay bricks; Circulars such as 09/2012/TT-BXD on the regulation of using NFBs in construction works ...; At the same time, it will tighten the handling of traditional fired clay materials to avoid increasing competition and consumption pressure in the market.
Sharing in the difficulties of businesses in producing and trading NFBMs, officials and experts of the Promotion of None-fired Brick Production and Utilization in Viet Nam Project Management Unit said that, in the situation that supply of some building materials industries is redundant with fierce competition in the consumption market, businesses need to carefully consider the planning of building materials development in the area appropriately, also with focus on renovation and application of technologies into production. In particular, besides the support of the Project Management Unit on planning, training, marketing, etc., the businesses promoting the propaganda about the benefits of NFBMs is urgent needs for businesses to grow in the current context.
